About Pilates

Pilates is a form of exercise that focuses on correct technique and posture throughout movement. It activates stabilising muscles that through bad posture and repetitive movement can become dysfunctional leaving the body vulnerable to damage. It prepares the body to move efficiently in other sports, training and everyday tasks. It's a great way to re-balance, tone, lengthen and mobilise your body. Having an hour to focus into and improve your body is therapeutic and very important in the fast paced world we live in today.
One to One session

One to one sessions are very individual and are designed to meet the clients specific needs. A one to one session will start off with a consultation, medical form and postural assessment. We will go through what you want to achieve through Pilates and you will then be assessed by your posture and mobility to find out what areas need specific focus. You will then be given a personalised Pilates exercise program that will meet your needs.
One to ones are great for anyone who has never done Pilates before to give an introduction to the technique before starting a class. They're also ideal for someone who has done Pilates before but wants to fine tune and advance thier technique, for people who have been inactive for a while; maybe due to injury or illness, and want to build confidance and strength, and for anyone who is training and wants to improve their technique and prevent injury.
